The 39th Annual Stuart Boat Show brought many beautiful boats to the St. Lucie River under The Roosevelt Bridge. The early morning winds made it quite the adventure walking down the docks and swaying back and forth, definitely not for the seasick. People flocked to the show as soon as it opened on Friday to get a first hand look for themselves. There were so many beautiful boats of all shapes and sizes from small fishing boats to luxury yachts. The day started off a little dreary but the blue skies came out and the rest of the day was beautiful.
Found ourselves at the Jupiter Inlet in Jupiter, FL. Last time we were there we were photographing the surfers after hurricane Irene. Today we found cute little birdies and beautiful boats. It is a very relaxing area and it really is fun to watch the boats speed in and out of the inlet.
Every time we are in Ft. Pierce we stop by the Manatee Observation and Education Center. The last two times we were there we were able to see the manatees. Amazingly enough these were the first times I have ever seen Manatees in my 36 years and I am a native Floridian. I was able to get some pictures of them this time with my lovely Samsung Note II, but I was kinda worried that I was going to drop it in the water with the manatee. Luckily I did not and I am able to share the pictures of this cute “little” manatee.
As a contributing photographer for PBG Lifestyle Magazine, one of Scott’s pictures was chosen as this months cover. Check it out!
We have been working with some software to create HDR images and finally decided on one to purchase, photomatix. Photomatix is a great software for making HDR images. The software is easy to use and has some great results. You can create HDR images without that metallic glow that you get from some other softwares like some parts of Photoshop. The only complaint I have is that the preview image is not the same as the final tone mapped image, so you have to adjust for that.
HDR Photography is not like standard photography, it is a different kind of art form, like painting. It allows for a different form of creativity to flow.
Here are some things we have been working on:
